Are you planning to attend the Cape Coral Strawberry Fest and want to know if you can bring your drone? The answer is yes! Drones are allowed in Florida for recreational and commercial use, subject to FAA regulations and flight controls established by local governments. Family fun and festivities, Plant City strawberries, free bouncy houses - the Cape Coral Strawberry Fest has it all! But before you can enjoy all the fun, you need to know what's allowed and what's not. All bags, backpacks and items of this nature will be subject to registration before entry to the Festival venue. Admission to all concerts requires a ticket.
Admission tickets can be purchased in advance online or at participating Publix Super Market stores. They can also be purchased at the door upon arrival. But what about drones? Are they allowed at the Cape Coral Strawberry Fest? Bonita Springs is the only community in Southwest Florida with drone-related ordinances. Article K of chapter 28, section 28-41, of the Bonita Springs municipal code says that drones in city parks must be kept 25 feet away from people, power lines, buildings and lamps and can only fly when the fields are empty.
Cape Coral home inspector Frank Jensen told The News-Press that he was stunned to learn that a resident had called the police and alleged that she had violated her privacy. A drone flying behind the home of a couple in Cape Coral prompted the woman to declare an invasion of privacy. So if you're planning on bringing your drone to the Cape Coral Strawberry Fest, make sure you follow all FAA regulations and local ordinances. Keep your drone 25 feet away from people, power lines, buildings and lamps and only fly when the fields are empty.
Have fun and enjoy all that the festival has to offer!.
